The Brawl of the Wild is the biggest face-off between Montana State and the University of Montana. It’s not just a regular football game; it’s the epitome of rivalry and has been for decades. This event is a tradition that brings both cities together, making it more than just a game- it’s a yearly tradition, filled with excitement in the wide-open spaces of Big Sky Country.

The bobcat and grizzly, both majestic creatures in their own right. The bobcat, sleek and nimble, dances through the wilderness with a kind of finesse and ease. On the other hand, the grizzly, a powerhouse of the wild, commands attention with its sheer stature.

However, it is on the football field, where this stark contrast really collides. Each team waits in baited anticipation for this event every year. Despite the rivalry, there’s beauty in this shared arena. Just like the bobcat and grizzly, the Bobcats and Grizzlies on the field share a common ground- an appreciation for the game and a respect for each other’s strengths. May the best team win. The main reason for creating these paintings together is I want hihglight the strong bond and rivalry about living in Montana. I’m a born and raised Bozeman native, so of course I want the Bobcats to kick ass in the big game.
